Made with Mike Williams while we were both at Twitch. The shots were split roughly evenly between us, as was direction. Evil Geniuses had recently come under the Twitch umbrella via the GoodGame acquisition, which is how an EG promo ended up as a Twitch project.
The film runs in strict black and white, with EG's hexagonal mark driving every beat: kaleidoscopic hex lattices, fields of hex tiles rippling like a displaced surface, the controller flying through hex-shaped tunnels and gates. Macro passes settle on the Scuf paddles and thumbsticks branded with the EG logo, hex shards scatter around it, and the film ends on the white-and-black EG-edition controller floating alone.
